HELP/ADVICE ANYONE?

I was wondering if you would be able to give me some advice. My mother is disabled and severely in debt. I am a student at university and help her out as much as i can using my student loans but i am finding it very hard to keep on helping her. I work part time but only make £70 a week which my mum usually gets one way or another. I recently found out that my mum had phoned my bank and arranged for an overdraft to put on my old account that I dont use much anymore, then used it without letting me know, she also has loans in my name. I can't keep up with the people phoning and sending letters demanding money off me that I haven't got and dont know anything about. My mother is constantly asking me for money, and follows me round the house until i give in and give her what she wants. When I am out she is always phoning me to see where i am, when i'll be home because I have to pick up something for dinner ect. It goes on everyday, my student loan that is supposed to last me the whole semester, lasted for 3 weeks, I feel awful as she is my mum, but I can't keep on giving her money. She relies on me as an income and doesnt think that I, myself, have things to buy.

Hello xxchezxx

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation. Your mother shouldn’t be taking debt out in your name without your permission. She can get into a lot of trouble doing this, as it will be classed as fraud. You will need to speak to your mother ASAP and tell her not to take any more debts out in your name. Unfortunately, because the debts are in your name you are liable for them, give us a call at the debt advice trust. We will go through all of your details and find the best way for you to pay your debts back! Hope this helps and speak to you soon.
