I have taken the first step to ask for help. i am a single man with debts for about 40 k. I earn 50 K a year. I have let this go and find it hard to take the next step. I am in a situation where my health and sanity are being affected and want to do what I can to get out of this. Can anyone tell me if they have been throught the same? I feel so bad about this and very embarresed

Well as you said you have taken the first step by asking for help, why not now let the advisors at DAT help you. You said that you have 40k debt and a good, regular income, this sounds like one of the situations that they deal with on a daily basis, and believe me they have dealt with worse scenarios. What they will do is go through some details with you first of all and providing you have the information they require by the end of the call they can have you on the road to a solution for your debts. At the end of the day what have you got to lose it's only advice! I hope this helps.
