hi, hope someone can help, as i dont understand why this is happening. four years ago after selling my home to clear my debts, i had some problems with my bank who wnated proof of where the money in my account came from, this was duly given, but in the process they closed my bank acocunt and would only offer me a savings account. I have another savings account also, although as i have not worked since no savings, and no need for account. at the time of them closing my account, i attempted to open another and was refused, four years on i have a job and decided to try again, i appled for halifax card cash on line, and they have refused! my husband who has had similar debt probs, has never had problems getting account, although he recently had his barclays account shut, can it be his credit rating is affecting my ability to get an accout> is there anything i can do? I have seen ads for a managed account, but hesitate to open one as i worry it may affect any future credit raitng? in june of 2004 i had a ccj served, but this was cleared in two weeks, due to paperwork going to wrong place it missed the deadline? sorry to ramble, i am just so unsure of what it is i have done and how i can fix it. ktnanna
