FIRST TIME BUYERS MORTGAGE DURING IVA

I have had an IVA for 10 months and was originally told that I was able to get a mortgage during my IVA. My IP has just sent me a letter saying a mortgage is viewed as getting credit and therefore I can't have one, he will not respond to any phone calls. What are my options to get around this?

Hello Holly14

Try and speak with your IP again, and ask for a reason of why you arent able to get a mortgage when you were told originally that you could. You could speak to your local C.A.B for a second opinion.
