mortgages
We have decided that we can no longer cope with mounting debts, our current arrangements are complex and mostly include token payments per month. we couldn't afford an IVA when i asked about them. we have a mortgage and a secured loan- a product of bad advice. to dig our way out of this hole we feel we have to sell our home and rent privately as we do not qualify for social housing. trouble is we are not sure that our home is now worth the value of the outstanding loans and that there would be a shortfall. how do we cope with this? if we cannot sell would letting our home be repossessed be a good idea? the last thing we want is more debt piled on and we don't know which way to turn. can anyone offer any words of wisdom?
