Hi all, I'm desperate for some advice, Almost 3 years ago I was in a mess and I was overpayed a months salary. I didn't pay back my previous employers and I moved away from the area. Yesterday out of the blue I had a Bailiff knocking at my door with a final notice to take all belongings from my home before threatening bankruptcy. I realise that my previous employers must have sent various letters to my previous address before finally arriving at my current address at the stage of proceedings that my debt is currently at. I have no savings, no bank account and no assets and I am living with my brother and all the items at home are his. I have recently got my life back on track, have new employment and I'm beginning to enjoy life again. I am very willing to pay off all my debts but due to being on a low income and having no bank account or assets, the only way that I can accomplish this is by monthly repayments. I tried negotiating with the bailiff by telephone to set-up a monthly repayment scheme but was told that my creditors wish to recieve the full amount owing or sell items from my home and then pursue a bankruptcy claim against me. I'm afraid of what may happen, but most of all for my brother who has helped me get my life back on track and I don't want him having bailiffs knocking at his door or his belongings being taken. Please help, any advice is appreciated and desperately needed. Steve
