will bailiffs call

I currently owe approx £12000 mostly credit card debts, i have juggled them around for years and come to the conclusion that bankruptcy is my only option, I live in a rented flat but i am worried that bailifffs will call and take my personal posessions. I am currently unemployed and disabled. can you also advise me what happens to the payments i am currently making to my creditors, are they ireduced in any way, also do i have to continue paying them until I am discharged?

Bankruptcy

do we have to sell house to pay debt he s already been made bankrupt or does the trustee sell our home if so wat time limit do we have i no i can pay for his half but dont have the money the debt is lot more then what the house is worth

Hello Brian,

Based on the details you have given bankruptcy does seem like a good option for you. By declaring yourself bankrupt you are telling your creditors that you don't have the money to pay off your debt. Any assets can be seized during a bankruptcy eg a house, in some cases cars. If you give DAT a call our advisors can give you a few more details about bankruptcy and tell you what the next step would be.
Hope this Helps.
