Problems after bankruptcy

Hello I was made bankrupt in August 2006 and discharged on 23rd August 2007. I am having problems with the Official Receiver. I started paying money from wages straight away, I then lost my job so my payments stopped. I started a new job within a month and wrote a letter twice asking them to send me a new expense form so I could start making payments, to which I had no reply. I rang to confirm letters had arrived and they said they were dealing with it. My mortgage company then took the house from me via the courts around march 2007. I told my official receiver about this and he wasn't interested. I got an eviction date of around may 2007 and moved into a new rented house. I informed the official receiver of my change of address by letter and asked for another expense form. I rang a month later when they confirmed my address was changed. To this day I have not received any letters, they aren't even taking money from my tax payments. None of this particulary bothers me. What worries me is my mortgage company sent me a cheque a couple of months ago for £1500 which was excess after they paid my mortgage and fees etc. I have wrote to them again to inform them that I have this money, and remarkably I have still had no reply. I have totally given up and am now refusing to spend my time and money writing to and phoning them. I just don't know what to do with the cheque. I was thinking either send it back to my mortgage company and saying it doesn't belong to me or just rip it up. The official receiver and his assistant no longer work at the office and the new ones are just not interested. Is it common for them to just forget about individual cases? What should I do? Thank you in advance

Hello

I would advise you to contact the court that has initially been dealing with your case an see whether it can be assigned to somebody else. If you still have no luck then I would recommend calling the Insolvency Service to get some advice as to what the next step would be. Their number is 0870 602 9848.
Best of luck
