Hello,

Have you had confirmation that your IVA has been closed down yet? If not then you may hear from the company advising bankruptcy as your next option. If you have had confirmation it has failed, and nothing else has been said then I would definately look into bankruptcy as your next step.
In answer to your questions, yes you can declare yourself bankrupt after an IVA has defaulted. The only person that can be made responsible for a debt is the person whose name is on the credit agreement. If you are living with family in a property that isn't owned by you then that house will not be affected.
Hope that has answered your questions.
