Individual Voluntary Agreements?

Hi there,

I was recommended by a good friend of mine to seek advice from this website. I stumbled upon this forum while I was researching the website and I wanted to get some advice from the forum members as I am currently in a pretty bad financial situation.

I have just successfully graduated from university and while I was living away from home, my spending habits got the better of me. At the moment, I owe money to 2 store cards, I'm nearly up to my limit on my credit card and I used to work part time but the outlet I used to work for has now closed own.

While reading through the site i read a little on individual voluntary agreements and in your opinion, will this be a good option for me as I have been seeing alot of these television adverts saying that debt consolidation is a very good way of clearing debts?

Thanks again

Max

Hello Max,

Based on this information alone it is not possible to say whether an IVA is the best thing available to you as there are many factors that need to be considered to qualify for one. What I can say is that there will definately be a solution available to you in order to resolve your debt issues. I would suggest that you give the advisors at DAT a call as they can then give you the answers you are looking for. If an IVA isn't suggested it would be because there is a better solution for you that would be much more effective and comfortable. I hope that this helps Max. Good Luck.
