I took out 4 credit cards last year when I returned to education after a few years at work. Within 5 months I am in £9k of debt & have had to quit college as I was unable to afford rent etc whilst studying 4 days a week. My intertest free credit cards are now starting to run out & I am on quite a low income despite working 6 days a week. Any suggestions what to do, I have a car that's worth about £1500 & I rent a furnished flat so have hardly any assest except some expensive items of clothes & shoes. I am considering bankruptcy as it seems like the easy options, as at the moment my credit card repayments are being paid by transferring money from other cards but theres hardly any money left on any of the cards & I can't seem to get any more cards. Advice would be much appreciated xx P.S. If I made myself bankrupt would they take my clothes & shoes?
