my son went to rent a house and they done a credit check. This came back showing a ccj from 2004, we know nothing of this have recieved no letters etc been at same address 18 years. He rented a house from same company, last year and brought a car on finance and this has never shown up before, is possible it could be a mistake what can we do, ive told him to ask what credit reference agency they used. he asked them why it never showed before when he rented and they said they didnt do a check last time even tho he paid them 75 pound for it.!!
