Turn off your appliances AT THE WALL
I don't know if everyone knows this, maybe I am the last to know, but you can save 10% of your household energy bill by turning off your appliances at the wall. instead of leaving your tv on 'standby' mode so you can just flick it on with your remote, if you trun it off you will be saving yourself and getting exercise in getting up and turning it on!
plus think of the environment. every time you leave all your appliances on standby you don't just waste your money you also increase greenhouse gas emissions. think about it!

Yes i have heard that before. Every little bit helps when you are trying to save money. We all need to save on our energy bill when we can because it can be very expensive.
