Just thought I'd share something thats made holidays cheaper for me in the past, and thats friends with holiday houses! A friend of mine is half-maltese, half-english and while him and his partner can't afford to buy in the UK they bought in Malta instead. With all the cheap flights now available, we all went there for four days together.

I didn't relise how cheap it could be if i didnt have to pay for accomidation! Because we were staying in a house we also had the luxury of being able to buy and cook all our own food, saving more. Would of loved to stayed longer ...but back to the grind (..and paying off my debt)

The moral of my story? Keep your ear out for friends with holiday houses!
