If you’re in debt you’ve probably got a lot of debt questions you’ll want answered. For example, you may have heard of an IVA (Individual Voluntary Agreement), a Debt Management Plan or other debt solutions and want to know more. You’ll also want reassurance that there can be a solution to your debts.

The Debt Advice Trust is a registered not for profit organisation that exists to help answer your debt questions. We’ll make sure you get expert, honest and impartial advice so that you have all the answers you really need.

At the Debt Advice Trust we’re used to answering debt questions covering a wide range of situations. Our fully trained Debt Counsellors will use their experience and their understanding to ensure you have all the information you need in order to choose the right debt solution for you.

• Q: My situation is complicated and I’ve got a great many debt questions to ask - is that OK?

  A: Absolutely. We’re here to help and don’t make any judgements on how you got yourself into debt. Our only concern is to give you the best advice so that you can begin to turn your life around.

• Q: Will I need to fill in any forms?

  A: No, when you first get in touch you will just talk to one of our Debt Counsellors about your situation. He or she will put you at ease and ensure you get all the answers you need to your debt questions.
