Deal with debt today
I overheard someone talking on the bus recently about their new credit card and its low, low rates. This was O.K, I can cope with that, but when they actually said, and I quote, “Debt consolidation, as if! I can use my credit card to pay off my debts next month”, I hung my head in despair. I wanted to scream to them about the possible outcomes of such a flippant statement; charges, endless debts and maybe even bankruptcy. Yet this person got off the bus and got on their merry way, oblivious to the debt help they will desperately require in the future.
So many people, old and young are falling into the luminous trappings of 'buy now - pay later'. It's easy, you can get what you want and more importantly, get it NOW! One, two maybe even three credit cards later and your 'max-ed' out, in trouble and in serious debt. There seems like there are no options available too you, but you're wrong.
Get debt help now! Do it before it is too late...
I will make things a little clearer, 'too late' means bailiffs knocking at your door to take away your possessions that your credit card paid for, a very traumatic experience as you can imagine. You didn't arrange any form of a debt consolidation agreement and now your life is being taken away around you.
People think they can avoid this sorry fate by declaring themselves bankrupt. However bankruptcy is not the loop hole you think it is, it carries serious consequences, effecting your ability to obtain services from your bank, staying on your credit record for a minimum of 6 years and you may even loose your job over your bankruptcy status. The phrase 'prevention is better then a cure' certainly applies when dealing with debt.
However, for all my dictatorial pleading of the perils of serious debt, there is always something you can do to help yourself get out of debt. Debt help is available for free from the Debt Advice Trust and they are there to answer any questions you have about debt, in turn helping you free yourself from it once and for all.
Becoming debt free IS a reality and you can do it just don't bury your head in the sand about your responsibilities and for the love of your sanity remember: Don't bury your head in the sand - Deal with debt today!

Don't, whatever you do, ignore your debt!!!
I had to get a debt consolidation loan after I was injured, off work and had been paying all the bills on credit. It has really helped me out and I dare not think about what might have happened if i didn't get the advice I needed to arrange something like that. You never think when you're spending away that it could all result in bailiffs taking away your stuff and thankfully it never got that far. But I would like to warn any one who puts their head in the sand and thinks its all ok, its not and the quicker you realise that the better...
